BRIDGES

When missing teeth cause problems with speaking, chewing, or strain when biting, a bridge may be the ideal procedure to help restore your dentition to 100% form and function in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

A bridge is a treatment option that replaces one or more missing teeth in a permanently fixed manner. The teeth adjacent to the missing tooth or teeth are prepared to be used as supports and anchors. An impression is taken and sent to a dental laboratory, where the dental technician creates a porcelain fused to metal or all porcelain bridge to establish ideal fit, comfort, shape and colour of the natural dentition. The goal is to provide a functional and aesthetic result that will last for many years.

Alternatives to bridgework include dental implants; or, where finances are a factor, a removable partial denture can be made.
